The Meghalaya Institute of Governance (MIG) had carried out a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) study on the proposed land acquisition for the purpose of setting up of an Integrated Facilitation Centre – Exit Point at 12th Mile, Umpher, Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi District. The objective of this study was to identify the likely impacts which may result from the proposed land acquisition and the subsequent setting up of the Exit Point.
